Welcome to the Benett Arms. The Benett Arms is a traditional country pub dating back to the seventeenth century, located in the peaceful village of Semley and set in the beautiful countryside of the Wiltshire/Dorset border. Since taking ownership in 2007, landlady Maddy and her dedicated team have worked tirelessly to restore this once-neglected pub to its former glory and are proud to offer five comfortable rooms, great beer, home-cooked meals created by the one and only Joyce and, above all, a very warm welcome. The cosy bar with its roaring fire for winter evenings provides the perfect old-fashioned atmosphere for friends and strangers alike to meet and chat over drinks, whilst there is ample room for you to sample our delicious menu and extensive wine list in our candle-lit dining room. Outdoors, the pub is perfect for summer afternoons with its own pétanque piste, as well as the use of the large village green complete with pond. Our wonderful location means we are the ideal base for your trip to a wide range of local attractions, from Longleat to Shaftesbury’s Gold Hill. We are an animal and child-friendly pub, and welcome well-behaved dogs. We are open from 12-3pm and 5-11pm Monday- Friday, and 12-11pm at weekends. |
